Utilizing the 3D Viewer

The 3D Viewer is a powerful tool for visualizing any asset featuring 3D material, whether it’s from the Sourcing Library or the Asset Library.

💡Tips: In the Sourcing Library, use the filter function by selecting [3D Material > With 3D Material] and apply the filter to locate assets that include 3D material.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Using the 3D Viewer:

  1. Navigate to the Sourcing Library or Asset Library, browse through the collections, and click on the asset you’re interested in.
  2. Then, click the [3D Viewer] button to see how the fabric appears in real-life applications on various apparel models.

3D Viewer Editor

Use the editor in the left sidebar to adjust the appearance of the asset:

  • Alpha: Adjust the transparency.
  • Roughness: Modify the texture roughness.
  • Specular: Change the reflectiveness.
  • Scale Size: Zoom in or out to view different fabric size perspectives.
  • Screenshot: Capture and save a high-quality screenshot of the fabric to your hard drive.

Viewing in 2D:

  • 2D Mode: View the fabric's texture maps, including base, normal, roughness, displacement, alpha, and metal maps layered beneath. Gain a deeper understanding of Texture Maps here.

Tips for Optimal Use:

The 3D Viewer Editor enables quick experimentation and real-time visualization of fabrics. Please note that changes made within the viewer cannot be saved, but you can enjoy the flexibility of making instant previews and adjustments to effortlessly bring your creative ideas to life.
